The reason that I am emailing you all today is to talk about Poricy Park.  I sit on the board of Trustee's at Poricy Park right here in Oak Hill. I am reaching out to you, the community, because we are in desperate need of fundraising and personal donations. Perhaps you have read some of the history books about our historic Middletown. Poricy Park was created by citizens like ourselves, who care about our community. The township was going to turn it in to a sewage tract.  Oak Hill citizens band together to start the Poricy Park Citizens Commission. They worked tirelessly for 10 years to turn Poricy Park in to Green Acres, restored the historic Murray Farmhouse , and to preserve the land and fossil beds. One of those original people, Peter Brady, passed away several weeks ago. He lived right here in Oak Hill until the day he passed.

This year 25,000 in grants were taken away from us. We use this money to run our very many scouting programs, fossil hunts and nature hikes, as well as, administrative staff. Schools from all over NJ come here every year for their class trips.  I would love to have you visit us and give you a tour.  We would love some help from our own town.

If you would like to get together with me for a personal tour or if you can think of any fundraising idea's I would welcome any suggestions.

I ... have been renovating an old historic house right here in Oak Hill. 895 Church Lane. It was built in 1908. Originally built by the Hartsornes. I purchased it from Lennie Coleman. The last National League Baseball  Commissioner. I have been busy working on that for the last year or so

Sincerely, Terri Vilardi, 7/18/2014
